This is our tripod and laptop/projector plate set in a nutshell.
The Walimex WAL-612 Semi-Pro tripod is made from lightweight and sturdy materials, making it suitable for heavy-duty, long-term use. The centre column with crank and precise fine-cut thread allows for highly accurate height adjustment. It features a 1/4-inch thread for attaching heads and panheads. With two quick-release fasteners, you can adjust the tripod as needed at any time. The centre spread provides the necessary stability. A dark green carrying bag with an additional small outer pocket completes the set.
The laptop and projector plate is a practical attachment for your tripod. It’s the ideal aid for presentations or training sessions, allowing devices such as projectors or laptops up to a weight of 15 kg to be safely placed on top. The plate is equipped with both a 1/4-inch and a 3/8-inch connector.

Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
- Be careful not to trap your fingers in the struts on the tripod legs when folding your tripod.
- Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Carefully read through all the information regarding the tripod’s maximum load capacity.
- Please note that the specified load capacity applies to any equipment that is placed in the middle of the tripod. The specified maximum load capacity is not applicable when the centre column is fully extended. When the centre column is fully extended this results in a reduced maximum load capacity and the tripod may not be as stable.
- When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect the installed equipment, make sure that you hold the centre column with one hand while loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
- Moisture can damage the parts on the middle column, and this may reduce the holding force and the parts on the centre column can start to slope downwards under heavy loads. Therefore, if necessary, dry the parts on the centre column with a soft, absorbent cloth (e.g. made of cotton).
- Tripod weight bags should only be used to secure your tripod.
- Using tripod castors:
Always lock the castors into place when you are not moving your tripod.
Please Follow the Following Safety Information When Using a Ball Head or Pan Tilt Head:
- When your camera equipment is screwed on, hold your device with one hand whilst unlocking the ball head or pan tilt head to prevent any possible damage to your camera equipment.
- Make sure that the quick-release plate is inserted correctly and not tilted. The locking knob needs to be in the furthest locking position to prevent your camera equipment from falling down.
Using a Crank (Depends on Model)
- When using a crank, the locking screw on the centre column must always be loosened before adjusting the height of the centre column, otherwise you could damage the delicate pitch thread.
