Walimex pro LED 500 area light + WT-806 tripod

Product information "Walimex pro LED 500 area light + WT-806 tripod"

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are characterised by their long service life, stable colour temperature and constant luminosity.

The 500 diodes achieve a huge light output, but still reduce heat development to a minimum.

The floodlight is particularly useful when larger areas need to be illuminated, such as rooms, furniture, etc., because a lot of power is required here. With a colour temperature of 6200 Kelvin, it is also ideal for video and film recordings. The brightness can be switched on and off in four equal sections using toggle switches.

The high operating frequency produces a homogeneous and soft continuous light without any ‘flickering’. The flaps ensure rectangular illumination and a shadow-free light distribution. The aluminium housing makes the light very lightweight and it can therefore be transported without difficulty.

The walimex WT-806 256cm Lamp Tripod is a high-quality solution for studio photographers. The very well-made tripod can be used portably and flexibly with a net weight of approx. 2165g and a transport size of approx. 109cm. You can use studio flashguns or reflectors up to a weight of 6kg on this tripod. The spring damping ensures the necessary safety when lowering the individual tripod elements. With the standard spigot connection 5/8 inch with 1/4 inch thread, the studio tripod is suitable for all common studio lights and studio flashes.

Risk of Injury When Loosening Pretensioned Parts!
The springs on centre column are pretensioned when they are delivered. WARNING! When opening the tripod locks, make sure to keep enough distance from the top end of the tripod and do not lean over the tripod.
  • Feature So that the tripod can be packaged and delivered, the fitted spring damps are pushed slightly together and then locked into place. When opening the locking clamps, the centre column parts can spring out up to 20 cm. This can damage your eyes and even cause blindness.
Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
  • Feature Be careful not to trap your fingers in the struts on the tripod legs when folding your tripod.
  • Feature Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
  • Feature Please follow the safety information in the manual regarding the maximum load capacity for your tripod.
  • Feature Please note that the specified load capacity applies to any equipment that is placed in the middle of the tripod. Depending on the equipment used, the maximum load capacity may differ from the specified maximum load. When using a boom, it is recommended to use suitable counterweights.
  • Feature Please note that moisture can damage the parts on the middle column, and this may reduce the holding force and the parts on the centre column can start to slope downwards under heavy loads. Therefore, if necessary, dry the parts on the centre column with a soft, absorbent cloth (e.g. made of cotton).
  • Feature After using your tripod for a long period of time, you may have to tighten the screws on the tripod clamps. Not enough tension reduces the maximum holding force of the tripod. Make sure that the clamps are tight, but do not tighten them too much. If the torque is too tight, the parts on the centre column may no longer be able to be extended properly.
  • Feature When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect the installed equipment, make sure that you hold the centre column with one hand while loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
  • Feature Do not move a loaded tripod with an extended centre column. You should only move it very carefully by holding it and gently pushing it. When heavy camera equipment is fitted onto a tripod and the large centre column has been extended, this can quite often cause a very sudden leverage effect. The lamp tripod has a top-heavy design when camera equipment has been fitted onto the top, therefore, be careful that it does not tip over and damage any camera equipment or cause any injuries.
  • Feature When using heavy equipment, especially when the tripod has been fully extended, you may have to stabilise your tripod by adding weight to the legs. For this, we would recommend using special sandbags or tripod weights. These will ensure that your tripod is stable. You can also use safety ropes when using your tripod at different heights. They offer added stability for your tripod.
  • Feature Using tripod castors:
Always lock the castors into place when you are not moving your tripod.
