The walimex FW-3970 Semi-Pro Tripod with Panhead is a large entry-level
tripod with many convenient features, a sturdy construction
and a very large maximum working height of 172cm. The tripod is of solid construction and
boasts a number of interesting features – all at an
extremely attractive price-performance ratio.

For photo and video applications
The tripod is suitable
for both photo and video shooting thanks to the built-in panhead and
features a panoramic scale on the tripod head. Aligning the tripod is facilitated by
two spirit levels on the tripod head and an additional level on the
tripod shoulder.
The centre column, which can be extended using a crank handle, is a very practical feature. This allows the
tripod to be extended to a maximum working height of up to 172 cm
The clamp quick-release fasteners enable
the tripod to be set up in seconds.

In contrast to many entry-level tripods in the lowest price segment,
the tripod head attached via a 3/8 inch connection can be
removed and exchanged. The quick-release plate comes with
a locking lever and a non-slip cork coating. The oval
tripod legs are solidly constructed and, in combination
with the built-in mid-level spreader, ensure above-average stability for this
entry-level tripod. A load hook located below the centre column allows you to attach an additional weight, thus providing
additional stability for your shots.

maximum load capacity of approx. 4kg, which makes it ideal for use with compact and
SLR cameras.

  Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
  
• Be careful not to trap your fingers in the struts on the tripod legs when folding your tripod.
  
• Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
  
• Carefully read through all the information regarding the tripod’s maximum load capacity.
  
• Please note that the specified load capacity applies to any equipment that is placed in the middle of the tripod. The specified maximum load capacity is not applicable when the centre column is fully extended. When the centre column is fully extended this results in a reduced maximum load capacity and the tripod may not be as stable.
  
• When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect the installed equipment, make sure that you hold the centre column with one hand while loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
  
  
• Moisture can damage the parts on the middle column, and this may reduce the holding force and the parts on the centre column can start to slope downwards under heavy loads. Therefore, if necessary, dry the parts on the centre column with a soft, absorbent cloth (e.g. made of cotton).
  
• Tripod weight bags should only be used to secure your tripod.
  
• Using tripod castors:
  Always lock the castors into place when you are not moving your tripod.
  
  Please Follow the Following Safety Information When Using a Ball Head or Pan Tilt Head:
  
• When your camera equipment is screwed on, hold your device with one hand whilst unlocking the ball head or pan tilt head to prevent any possible damage to your camera equipment.
  
• Make sure that the quick-release plate is inserted correctly and not tilted. The locking knob needs to be in the furthest locking position to prevent your camera equipment from falling down.
  Using a Crank (Depends on Model)
  
• When using a crank, the locking screw on the centre column must always be loosened before adjusting the height of the centre column, otherwise you could damage the delicate pitch thread.
