In combination with a tripod, the boom is a practical and space-saving solution for setting highlights or for general illumination from above. The illumination range of your studio flashguns is extended by a further dimension without you having to buy an extra boom stand. The boom can take extremely high loads; you can securely mount flashguns and lamps up to a weight of approx. 10 kg on it. With the standard 5/8-inch spigot receiver on the screw clamps, the boom is suitable for all standard studio flashguns and lamps. The Boom is silver-coloured and can be mounted on any tripod with a screw clamp.
When using a tripod, please ensure that the tripod has a sufficient load capacity. Also ensure a secure stand and an even weight distribution to avoid the tripod tipping over. To do this, use a counterweight if necessary.
Order the walimex Spigot at the same time to mount flashes or lamps on the boom (item numer 1012495).

Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
- Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Please follow the safety information in the manual regarding the maximum load capacity for your tripod. Only use camera equipment that is suitable for your tripod.
- When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect any fitted camera equipment, make sure to hold the centre column with one hand whilst loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
- For your own safety and to protect the any fitted camera equipment, make sure to hold the pole and equipment securely whilst loosening the lock to move the brackets on the boom. Only move one bracket at a time and then secure it again. It is recommended to get someone to help you move it, especially if there is heavy equipment.
- Do not move a loaded tripod with an extended centre column. You should only move it very carefully by holding it and gently moving it.
