Versatile Wheeled Boom Stand
Robust Wheeled Boom Stand: Perfect for Professional Studios
The Walimex Boom Stand with castors is an excellent choice for studios and different types of photography. The three legs on the stand have a base diameter of 94 cm and they feature three high-quality solid rubber tripod castors (80 mm) with brakes. This prevents the boom from rolling away and it allows you to quickly fix it into position. You can adjust the height of the boom stand from 130 cm to approximately 390 cm. The telescopic boom arm can be extended from 115 to 215 cm or simply retracted into the centre column on the boom stand. This enables you to use the stand as a light stand. When not in use, you can fold the legs on the stand and store it away.
Can Be Used as a Light Stand
The boom is mounted on a metal bracket that allows you to adjust the angle of the boom. The locking levers and locks enable you to roatate the boom up to 360° and tilt it up to 180°. The mounting adapter with a 5/8” spigot (16 mm pin) and a 3/8” and 1/4” thread connection allows you to attach a wide range of photography equipment. The mounting adapter is removable and can be attached to the front or to the side of the boom stand. You can attach flash heads, studio lighting, LED lights, daylight lamps, softboxes, reflectors and photography backgrounds. Depending on the length of the boom, the boom Stand can support loads of 6 to 3 kg and, when used as a light stand up to 8 kg. You can attach the weight bag or a separately available counterweight can be also screwed on.

Safety Instructions
Download the full set of the instructions before setting up and using your device.
Carefully read through the full set of instructions before using your product for the first time. The instructions include all the important information that you will need to know about the product in order to avoid injuries and damage to your possessions.
Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
Be careful not to trap your fingers in the struts on the tripod legs when folding your tripod.
Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
Please follow the safety information in the manual regarding the maximum load capacity for your tripod.
Please note that the specified load capacity applies to any equipment that is placed in the middle of the tripod. Depending on the equipment used, the maximum load capacity may differ from the specified maximum load. When using a boom, it is recommended to use suitable counterweights.
Please note that moisture can damage the parts on the middle column, and this may reduce the holding force and the parts on the centre column can start to slope downwards under heavy loads. Therefore, if necessary, dry the parts on the centre column with a soft, absorbent cloth (e.g. made of cotton).
After using your tripod for a long period of time, you may have to tighten the screws on the tripod clamps. Not enough tension reduces the maximum holding force of the tripod. Make sure that the clamps are tight, but do not tighten them too much. If the torque is too tight, the parts on the centre column may no longer be able to be extended properly.
When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect the installed equipment, make sure that you hold the centre column with one hand while loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
Do not move a loaded tripod with an extended centre column. You should only move it very carefully by holding it and gently pushing it. When heavy camera equipment is fitted onto a tripod and the large centre column has been extended, this can quite often cause a very sudden leverage effect. The lamp tripod has a top-heavy design when camera equipment has been fitted onto the top, therefore, be careful that it does not tip over and damage any camera equipment or cause any injuries.
When using heavy equipment, especially when the tripod has been fully extended, you may have to stabilise your tripod by adding weight to the legs. For this, we would recommend using special sandbags or tripod weights. These will ensure that your tripod is stable. You can also use safety ropes when using a tripod at different heights. They offer added stability for your tripod.
Using tripod castors:
Always lock the castors into place when you are not moving your tripod.
