Product information "Walimex pro Boom for Light Stands, Extendable and Rotatable Boom Arm 70 - 183 cm, Maximum Load Capacity 5 kg, 5/8” Spigot, Extension Arm Perfect for Softboxes, Reflectors, Umbrellas and Microphones"
Versatile Boom Arm for Indoor and Outdoor Photoshoots
Perfect for a Wide Range of Applications
This boom arm is perfect for photo studios and film sets. You can attach the boom to a 5/8′′ spigot on a tripod light stand. You can also rotate and tilt it and adjust its length as required. The 5/8′′ spigot and the 1/4′′ thread enable you to attach a wide range of photography equipment. The spigot is flat, and this makes it easier to rotate or change the angle of any attached equipment. You can screw on the 1.5 kg counterweight to ensure that the weight is evenly distributed on the boom.
Flexible Boom Arm
You can attach a wide range of photography and lighting equipment, for example, flash heads, softboxes, reflectors, umbrellas and microphones. However, the boom arm should not be used as a jib or crane for camera movements. You can extend the boom arm from 70 - 183 cm and the maximum load capacity is 5 kg, but when it is fully extended the maximum load capacity is 2 kg. The clamps will securely hold the boom at the desired length. You can adjust and tilt it up to 180°. The boom arm can also be used as a boom pole without a stand.

Safety Instructions
Download the full set of the instructions before setting up and using your device.
Carefully read through the full set of instructions before using your product for the first time. The instructions include all the important information that you will need to know about the product in order to avoid injuries and damage to your possessions.
Risk of Injury Due to Improper Use
Be careful not to trap your fingers in the struts on the tripod legs when folding your tripod.
Please note that lamp tripods must be set up on a sufficiently strong, level surface to ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
Please follow the safety information in the manual regarding the maximum load capacity for your tripod.
Please note that the specified load capacity applies to any equipment that is placed in the middle of the tripod. Depending on the equipment used, the maximum load capacity may differ from the specified maximum load. When using a boom, it is recommended to use suitable counterweights.
Please note that moisture can damage the parts on the middle column, and this may reduce the holding force and the parts on the centre column can start to slope downwards under heavy loads. Therefore, if necessary, dry the parts on the centre column with a soft, absorbent cloth (e.g. made of cotton).
After using your tripod for a long period of time, you may have to tighten the screws on the tripod clamps. Not enough tension reduces the maximum holding force of the tripod. Make sure that the clamps are tight, but do not tighten them too much. If the torque is too tight, the parts on the centre column may no longer be able to be extended properly.
When adjusting the centre column with mounted equipment, for your own safety and to protect the installed equipment, make sure that you hold the centre column with one hand while loosening the locks before loosening the tripod locks.
Do not move a loaded tripod with an extended centre column. You should only move it very carefully by holding it and gently pushing it. When heavy camera equipment is fitted onto a tripod and the large centre column has been extended, this can quite often cause a very sudden leverage effect. The lamp tripod has a top-heavy design when camera equipment has been fitted onto the top, therefore, be careful that it does not tip over and damage any camera equipment or cause any injuries.
When using heavy equipment, especially when the tripod has been fully extended, you may have to stabilise your tripod by adding weight to the legs. For this, we would recommend using special sandbags or tripod weights. These will ensure that your tripod is stable. You can also use safety ropes when using a tripod at different heights. They offer added stability for your tripod.
Using tripod castors:
Always lock the castors into place when you are not moving your tripod.
