The Walimex pro Beauty Dish is specially designed for portrait and product photography. Its unique design prevents the light from shining directly onto the subject or object. It features a parabolic reflector that enables you to direct the light in any direction. This creates a special lighting effect when taking photographs, as the light is harder in the centre and becomes softer towards the edges. This guarantees high contrast and a smooth, even gradient towards the edges. The beauty dish reflector creates natural lighting, and it is one of the most popular light modifiers for studio lighting.

Perfect for a Wide Range of Applications

Professional photographers like to use beauty dishes for portrait photography, as you can still achieve amazing results with just one light. For fantastic results make sure to place the beauty dish closer to the subject or object. An optional fabric diffuser makes the light even softer and gentler in comparison to a classic softbox. During continuous light or flash operation, the softbox, mount and flash unit may become hot. Do not touch during or immediately after operation; allow to cool before disassembly.
Fire hazard
Do not cover the softbox, do not block ventilation openings and keep a sufficient distance from flammable materials.
Risk of falling/tipping
Improperly mounted light modifiers may detach or cause light stands to tip over. Only attach to compatible flash units, check safety pins and spigot/locking mechanisms, weight down the stand (sandbag), and adjust the tilt angle so the load remains above the center of gravity.
Risk of crushing
Rotating and locking mechanisms may create pinch points. Proceed carefully when adjusting and avoid trapping fingers.
