Walimex pro barndoors/honeycombs/colour filter set

Attachment set for sophisticated lighting effects. The honeycomb attachment with barndoors can be easily mounted on the 18 cm reflectors of your Walimex pro studio flash. It also serves as a holder for the colour filters. These can be changed in just a few simple steps. Thanks to its many possibilities, the set is particularly suitable for product, portrait or, for example, nude photography. The matte black coating prevents unwanted reflections.

Diverse design options

With the barndoors, the light can be shaped in a targeted manner. This makes it possible, for example, to create only a thin strip of light as an accent in the background, or to shade a specific area. The barn doors, which can each be tilted through 180 degrees, give you maximum freedom to do this. The entire attachment can be freely rotated, making it possible to meet almost any lighting requirement.


The honeycomb insert ensures more linear light control. This means that the light coming from the reflector is focused even more than it would be by the reflector alone. This results in a harder light characteristic with less diffusion and thus clearer edges - exactly what you would expect from a light accent. The honeycomb insert itself does not appear as a shadow, since a certain amount of diffusion is still present by nature.


The colour filters in red, blue, yellow and green can be inserted into the attachment in a few simple steps. They can be placed in front of the honeycomb insert. They can also be combined to allow even more colour variations.

Caution when using
Please note that the modeling lamp of some flashes may be too hot for the filter foils and could damage them. Therefore, they are not suitable for modeling lamps of more than 150 watts. This applies, for example, to the Walimex pro VC-600 (VC-600 Plus), VC-800 (VC-800 Plus) and Walimex pro VC-1000 (VC-1000 Plus) flashes.
