Product information "Walimex Pro 14mm 1:3.1 VDSLR photo and video lens (incl. fixed lens hood, IF, gear ring, stepless aperture and focus, wide-angle lens) for Nikon F lens bayonet black"
Developed for videography and photography
This wide angle lens from walimex pro was developed for videography and photography. The aperture can be infinitely adjusted from 3.1 to 22 and the focus is soft and smooth. This makes it possible to smoothly track the focus when shooting video. The aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a gear rim, making them optimised for use with follow focus systems. For better readability, the distance and aperture scales are arranged on the side.
Unique perspectives
The compact 14mm wide-angle lens from walimex pro lets you create unique shots. In contrast to telephoto lenses, the wide angle reduces the image scale at the same subject distance, so that a larger area can be depicted. The walimex pro lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of photography and videography, but particularly for landscapes and indoor shots. The pronounced depth effect offers scope for creative impressions. With a close-up limit of just 28 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp and high-contrast images at short distances. Thanks to the outstanding light intensity of 1:3.1, it is also possible to take optimal pictures in unfavourable light conditions.
High-quality workmanship
The lens is of high quality. The metal body is very robust and impresses with its elegant look. The glass lenses of the lens are coated and thus provide an excellent contrast and sharpness range as well as a balanced colour balance. The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensure optimal imaging results. The lens hood prevents lateral stray light and lens reflections.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing.
If you use a lens designed for a full frame on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This ensures maximum quality.
Additional post-processing time to correct lens defects is thus eliminated.
General notes:
Download the full version of the operating instructions before setting up and using the item.
Read the full version of the instruction manual carefully before using your product for the first time. It contains everything you need to know to avoid personal injury, environmental damage and damage to property.
Carefully follow all the detailed safety instructions in the full operating instructions!
Disposal instructions: Please dispose of the packaging and this product at the end of its service life in accordance with the laws applicable in your country.
Choking hazard due to small parts: Keep the appliance and packaging material away from children and pets.
Danger of blindness and damage to the eyes
Do not look directly at the sun or strong light through the lens. This can lead to blindness.
Do not store the lens without the lens cap attached in a place exposed to direct sunlight, e.g. in a vehicle. Direct sunlight through the lens may be focused and cause a fire.
Keep the lens out of the reach of children. Failure to do so may result in accidents or injuries.
Precautions for use
To use the lens safely, attach or remove it with the camera switched off.
Take care not to touch or contaminate the contact point of the bayonet. If electronic signals are not transmitted smoothly between the camera and lens, this can lead to a malfunction.
Do not apply excessive force to the lens attached to the camera. This may cause damage to the lens and/or camera.
It is recommended to use a stable tripod. If a stable tripod is not used, it may collapse, causing damage to the camera and/or lens.
If the lens is stored in a hot place, it may be damaged or deformed, which may affect its performance.
Ensure that the lens does not come into contact with water or other liquids and store the lens in a dry, well-ventilated place.
If the lens gets wet or if you use the lens with wet hands, this can lead to product failure, fire or electric shock.
Avoid direct sunlight and do not store the lens with naphthalene or mothballs.
Do not use the lens in a place with strong temperature fluctuations. In particular, if you bring a lens that has been cooled down in a cold place to a warm place, the humidity may concentrate on the outside or inside, resulting in defects or mold growth. In such a situation, store the lens in a special camera bag and do not take it out until the temperature of the lens has adjusted to the ambient temperature.
If the surface of the lens is dirty, dust it off with a lens blower or a brush and wipe the lens with a clean, soft cloth (cleaning cloth, cotton cloth, etc.).
When dusting or cleaning the lens, do not use organic solvents such as thinner, alcohol or benzene, but rather ethanol or lens cleaner.
Do not modify or alter the lens, as this may cause the camera to fail. Modified lenses invalidate all warranty claims and cannot be repaired.
