Batteries
Many devices are supplied with batteries, for example for operating remote controls and similar equipment. Batteries or rechargeable batteries may also be permanently installed in the devices themselves. In connection with the distribution of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the German Battery Act (BattG) to provide the following information:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that their proper disposal can be ensured.
You may either return your used batteries to us with sufficient postage paid or hand them in free of charge directly at our dispatch warehouse at the following address:

Our take-back obligation is limited exclusively to used batteries of the types that we currently sell or have previously sold as new batteries in our product range.
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a "crossed-out wheeled bin" (similar to the illustration shown below). Batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead bear the chemical symbol of the respective hazardous substance below the bin symbol: "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for mercury.

When returning lithium batteries or rechargeable batteries, please insulate the contact surfaces marked + and -, for example with adhesive tape, in order to prevent any risk of fire.
Procedure in the event of lamp breakage
Energy-saving lamps (compact fluorescent lamps), fluorescent tubes and metal-halide lamps contain a very small amount of mercury. However, these lamps are harmless when used normally. Should such a lamp break, please proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the lamp from the power supply.
- Avoid skin contact and ventilate the room for 20-30 minutes.
- Wear disposable or household gloves when removing the broken glass. Collect all parts of the lamp, preferably by sweeping them up. Use a damp disposable household cloth to pick up small pieces and dust. On carpeted floors, use a vacuum cleaner and then dispose of the vacuum cleaner bag.
- Collect the broken glass and lamp remnants in a sealable container (e.g. a screw-top jar or plastic bag).
Dispose of the sealed container at a local waste disposal facility.
How to prevent lamp breakage
- Only replace the light source once it has cooled down completely.
- Always hold the light source by the base, not by the glass bulb or glass tubes.
- Only remove new lamps from their packaging immediately before screwing them in or using them.
- Store the light source in a break-resistant manner in a safe container or suitable packaging until further use or disposal.
Packaging Ordinance
Under the provisions of the Packaging Ordinance, WilTec is obliged to take back product packaging that does not bear the symbol of a nationwide disposal system (e.g. the "Green Dot" symbol of Duales System Deutschland AG) and to ensure that it is reused or disposed of.

WilTec will then provide you with the details of a municipal collection point or waste disposal company in your area that accepts the packaging free of charge. If this is not possible, the customer may send the packaging to WilTec free of charge:

The packaging will be reused by WilTec or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the Packaging Ordinance.
